Kinetic Sculptures

KineticSculptures

Wind-driven kinetic sculptures for parks, waterfronts, residential developments and private estates. We design them, calculate the kinematics, fabricate and install them ourselves.

Five stages, one company

We do not resell other people's work and we do not subcontract the hard parts. One team carries the object from the first sketch to the last bolt tightened on site — which is why we can answer for the schedule and for how the structure behaves in wind.

01

Design

We work through the site: height, wind load, and how the object reads from every approach. Either a catalogue model or a form developed for that specific place.

02

Kinematics

We calculate the balance of the moving elements, the axes and the bearing assemblies, wind. This is what decides whether the sculpture turns in a light breeze and survives a hard one.

03

Fabrication

Cutting, forming and polishing metal. Assembly on sealed bearings. Permanent stainless steel bearings require no replacement. Every element is finished by hand.

04

Delivery

Broken down into transport assemblies, crated and shipped to site.

05

Installation

We set the mast, assemble the structure on site and balance the moving section. The object is handed over turning, not merely standing.

Who we work with

Residential developers, state and municipal clients in public realm projects, architecture and landscape practices, and private estate owners.

We work under government contracts and with major developers: paperwork closed properly, delivery and installation dates met.

Three types of object

The type decides more than the look: how the object holds the scale of a square, how it behaves up close, and what happens to it in winter.

Copper

Polished copper on a stainless axis

A warm, reflective metal: in sunlight the blades gather light and scatter it as they turn. Copper darkens with the years into a deeper tone — the object ages together with the site. If the client wishes, a specialized lacquer coating is available, keeping the copper unchanged.

Place

Stainless steel

Mirror and satin finish

A cold mirrored metal that takes the colour of the sky and changes with the weather. It holds a large scale: on a square, a waterfront or in a park it works as the dominant.

Material
Stainless steel AISI 304

Place
Park, waterfront, public square, urban area, indoors

Large compositions

A group of objects on one axis

Several sculptures set as a single composition: an avenue, a rhythm along a path, an accent at the entrance. Each element moves on its own, and together they read as one work.

Installed and running

Residential developments, city parks and public spaces. Photographed after handover.

In motion

The same pieces — not photographs, but how they move in real wind.

An instrument that reads the wind

The sculpture does not imitate movement and does not switch on by schedule. It turns exactly as much as the wind gives it — which is why it never repeats the same pattern twice.

Moves in a light breeze

The moving section is balanced so the structure starts turning before the trees begin to rustle.

Works through winter

Sealed bearings and stainless axes take humidity, ice and frost without seasonal shutdown.

Needs no power

No motor, no cable, no meter. You do not have to bring electricity to the site — unless you want lighting.

Serviced once a season

Inspection of the assemblies and re-tightening of fasteners. The schedule is handed over with the object.
